Rating: ** 1/2

Very much on the lines of the earlier movie: 'Darna Mana Hai', but less imaginative.

The stories covered in this movie are not as interesting and diverse as those covered in 'Darna Mana Hai', but they are interesting, if not great. Some of them do not make much sense or did not make much sense to me, especially the one with Amitabh Bachhan in it.

So, overall average, falls short of expectations, and could have been much better (storylines). We have seen enough of sudden sounds, and clever camerawork. Pls pay some attention to scripts as well.

And if you were not aware, all the six different stories in the movie have been directed by different directors (now thats a first!).

Rating: **

This is a movie you probably do not want to see, unless the world of warevolves and strange creatures in the dark interest you. No its not a horror movie, but about the lives of generations of warevolves and hybrid (wolves, bats, humans) creatures; indulging in fights.

Perhaps there are people who like this kind of stuff, i am amazed that such movies are even released in India. They are just not for indian audiences. A person with more eclectic taste in these kind of stories would award it better rating.

Although the special effects and the strange creatures were done well.

Again: Why do they make these kinds of movies. Is there an audience for these, anywhere in the world??

Rating: ** 1/2

Overall a fun movie. It is set in a village, that is poor and in debt. And then someone wins a 1 crore lottery and the fun starts. The cast is good. The comic timing and laughter value is average, not excellent. It manages to make u laugh.

Highlights:

Good actors, make you laugh.

Does not pretend to be anything other than a simple village based laughter riot. Succeeds somewhat.

No songs in the movie, a rather short movie.

Dialogues and situations could have been even more funnier.

Rating: *** 1/2

Its a movie that could have been much better.

The overall theme and style of movie making is interesting and different. A story about young folks who are disillusioned by the 'system' and decide to take revenge in their own way. It draws some parallels between different eras - one of the pre-independence, and other of 'today'. It was a good attempt, but in my opinion it did not really work completely.

Some highlights:

Aamir Khan and rest of the cast have done a good job

Music is ordinary.

Story and Screenplay is interesting, could have been better, especially post-intermission.

is a fairly big hit...

Rating: *
This is really a nasty movie, deserving very little pace here. Even if you do not have anything to do, do not see this one. I did not see it beyond intermission.

Don't the directors see their movie post production?

I do not know for sure, but it looked like a rip-off from some other movie, and the rip-off went horribly wrong.

That summarizes it. :)

We have really low quality movies being made in India most of the time. There does not seem to be any variety. You can predict the storyline of most of them if you know the following: Who The Director is, Who the Actors are. You don't even need to know the writer !!

Its a very mediocre industry. One very good movie recently was: Swades

I hope there is some variety to begin with, even if movies are not good. Many people disagree that most movies are bad. I think this is because they are not exposed to good variety of movies to begin with. So, there are in many ways unaware that something different is possible!
